Center Street Nook Review – Jupiter, Florida

Today the Jupiter Sandbar is proud to bring you our Center Street Nook review.

Let’s be honest, if you are in or around Jupiter, Florida today then you know it’s a crappy day out because of the damn rain. Despite the weather, we here at the Jupiter Sandbar decided to hit up the best hole in the wall joint in town, The Nook! (Center Street Nook) There is nothing better on a rainy day than the comfort of some good old fashioned home cooking and being in the presence of some of the nicest people around.

Upon arrival at Center Street Nook, we put our names on the waiting list and sat outside, enjoying the calming sounds of the rain while we eagerly awaited to be seated inside. Once we were greeted and brought in, we began our lunch that was probably the best dining experience we have ever had. The waitresses in The Nook are as nice as can be and make sure that you are taken care of during your meal. The atmosphere in the tiny restaurant (sits about 50 people) was comforting and not too loud or bright, it really is a great spot to go.

Let’s move away from our praise of the service and atmosphere at the Center Street Nook for a minute and get into the pricing and overall taste of our food:

Corn Nuggets – $4.99 – Served with Maple Syrup

Jupiter Sandbar Review (Appetizer): What in the world is a corn nugget? Center Street Nook fries up creamed corn, throws some powder sugar on top and serves it with a side of maple syrup. These are absolutely amazing and are a MUST HAVE when you visit The Nook – do not leave this restaurant without trying these delicious little nuggets of goodness.

Tuna Melt – $9.95 – Served with French Fries

Tim’s Meal Review: I decided to go with a Tuna Melt today because I was in the mood for some seafood. I clearly neglected to read that it was an open-faced melt when I ordered it but that’s okay, I have no problem eating a sandwich with a fork and knife. While the Tuna Melt was a bit different in the fact that is was really rich, I enjoyed it. I could only eat one half of the open faced English muffin sandwich as it was loaded with their own tuna, curry and dill concoction. I’m definitely going back to The Nook and maybe next time I will get the biscuits and gravy!

Grilled Chicken Sandwich – $7.95 – Served with Sweet Potato Fries

Devon’s Meal Review: Corn Nuggets! Sweet Potato Fries! What more could a southern girl want? This place reminds me of a place I used to go to in TN when I still lived there. They had good food and the people were friendly and I was devastated when they shut down in the bad economy. So, I was happy to find The Nook where the food is good, the people are friendly and the drinks are served in giant mason jars. I went simple and ordered the Grilled Chicken Sandwich and Sweet Potato Fries. They brought out a big sandwich and more fries than anyone needs. I was happy with my food and we had at least 2 servers tending to our every need. I will definitely be taking my friends to The Nook who went to that place in TN with me.

Mahi Reuben – $9.95 – Served with Cole Slaw

Dave’s Meal Review by Devon: So today Davey went fancy (again) and ordered the Mahi Reuben with Cole Slaw. Nice portion size with a large piece of grilled Mahi on toasted multi-grain bread. He commented that it was “very good”, and he’s pretty particular, so you can bet it was pretty good. He was also the mastermind behind us ordering Corn Nuggets, which were sprinkled with powdered sugar and served with a side of maple syrup. Everyone at the table enjoyed them, one of us more than the rest… haha. As Dave has been to The Nook before, there is no doubt that he will be a repeat customer.

In conclusion, Center Street Nook is an amazing little hole in the wall joint in Jupiter, Florida. If you have never been there, I recommend that you go soon as it is home to some of the nicest people around – of course the food is to die for as well!
