Chowder Heads Review – Jupiter, Florida

Today the Jupiter Sandbar is proud to bring you our Chowder Heads review.

Every day I drive passed Chowder Heads on my way home from work and Tammy is always talking about how amazing their New England Clam Chowder is – today the Jupiter Sandbar finally decided to stop in for lunch. How does this New England style seafood restaurant rank amidst the plethora of “seafood” joints that Jupiter, Florida has to offer?

The overall atmosphere of Chowder Heads is quite relaxing and the staff there is nothing short of spectacular – good food and nice people make for a great lunch. I know you all are waiting on our actual meal reviews and just exactly how much “quality” seafood costs – check out our individual reviews below:

Tuna Salad Roll – $12 – Served with French Fries

Tim’s Meal Review: Ordering tuna salad or any “seafood” salad for that matter is always tricky for me as most restaurants love to load them up with ten pounds of mayonnaise which ruins the seafood. I took a chance at Chowder Heads today and was pleasantly surprised when my platter of goodness arrived in front of me. I could immediately tell that the tuna salad had just enough mayo in it to let the fresh seafood be the star of the show – the roll was absolutely amazing! Throw in the freshly pickled veggies, sweet pickles, and homemade french fries and you will be heading back to Chowder Heads for more – I definitely recommend that you try it out, you will not be disappointed.

Lobster Roll – $16 – Served with “Crab Fries”

Dave’s Meal Review: This lobster roll was out of this world good. I’ve always had the traditional roll that has some mayo and stuff mixed in, this time I tried it out where there was no mayo and just lobster meat. Needless to say it was pretty amazing, the lobster was sauteed in butter and matched up perfectly with the sweet roll it was nestled into. I also got the “crab fries” which were your standard french fries spiced up with a little old bay goodness. This place is definitely worth stopping into if you like that New England type seafood.

In conclusion, if you are looking for a new spot in Jupiter, Florida to try out some of New England’s finest seafood then Chowder Heads is the place to go. Whether you stop in on lunch for a quick bite to eat or take the whole family out to dinner, everyone will be more than satisfied with the delicious seafood that this restaurant has to offer.
