Today the JupiterSandbar is proud to bring you our Corner Cafe & Brewery review.
Our quest to review every single restaurant in Jupiter, Florida found us choosing The Corner Cafe & Brewery today. After pulling up to the spot, we immediately realized that it was packed – every table inside and outside was full. Two minutes passed and we remained standing at the doorway, looking like a bunch of lost tourists, eagerly awaiting one of the staff to greet us. Once we were greeted, the service definitely got 100% better – it took close to 5 minutes for this to happen. Our waiter took our drink order quickly and when he came back we were ready to order our food. While The Corner Cafe & Brewery isn’t perhaps the fastest place to go eat lunch, it definitely isn’t the slowest either. (read: Schooner’s Review)
The total time from the second the three of us entered The Corner Cafe & Brewery to the time that we received our food was 38 minutes and 20 seconds – like I said, it wasn’t the fastest but definitely not the slowest either. I should mention that we were not charged for our drinks because it took so long – that was extremely thoughtful and unnecessary. Despite the slow start time, how exactly did the food measure up?
Let’s take a look at the pricing and overall impression of the food at The Corner Cafe & Brewery below:
Cuban Sandwich – $9.00 (served with one side)
Tim’s Meal Review: I was absolutely starving today at lunch so I decided to go with the Cuban Sandwich and a side of fries. Once I received my plate, I couldn’t help but notice the extremely generous portion of fries and the large, stuffed Cuban sandwich that sat in front of me. Since I am watching my girlish figure, I only downed half of the sandwich and about 3/4 of the fries – the rest were placed in a to-go box for dinner tonight! The Corner Cafe & Brewery had me leaving a satisfied customer and I will definitely be going back to try out their handcrafted beers!
Turkey Burger – $9.00 (served with one side)
Devon’s Meal Review: This was my 2nd experience with The Corner Cafe, and like the first time, the food was very good. I ordered the Turkey Burger with Sweet Potato Fries. The burger was nicely cooked, but it was covered thickly with the chipotle aoili— there was enough for about 4 burgers. Otherwise, it was delicious. The fries were also excellent– not greasy and very crispy. The service was so-so. I had to ask for my drink to be refilled instead of the waiter noticing it and just doing it and it took more than 30 minutes for the food to arrive.
Lamb Burger – $10.95 (served with one side)
Dave’s Meal Review: The lamb burger was awesome! It took a little while to come out but it was well worth the wait. The lamb was cooked perfectly and covered in melted Gruyere cheese and cranberry sauce. The bun wasn’t a normal bun I think it was some kind of herb ciabatta bread. It’s a unique combination definitely worth checking out if you see it on their always changing specials menu.
All in all, despite the rough start at The Corner Cafe & Brewery, all three of us enjoyed our lunch. The food was great and I’d definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends and family.
*note* Keep in mind that we were on lunch break for work so we did not get to try any of the handcrafted beers that The Corner Cafe & Brewery has to offer.
